I expected a Stevie song to be #1.....but Marvin's good enough "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Ahhhh!
My #10 pick is #1. | |

I wanted Bohemian Rhapsody to be number one, But I forget Queen were more popular in the British part of the world, than America. The fact they got to #3 though is pretty impressive. Whats going on was a good choice, it was easily Marvin's finest moment (Alongside Grapevine) and easily the best message song of the early 70s. So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

Let put this in proper context.....
Queen got their asses handled by the powers of Motown!
OK, that was overdramatic. I apologize. But on a serious note, Marvin's What's Going On is a very internationally well known song despite the fact that it NEVER went #1 on Billboards Hot 100 USA Singles Charts (it made it at #2). And Stevie's Superstition is a definite funk classic that still rocks the party.

Wow, that's some sheere drudgery you did there. Respect.
The 70's have by far produced the best in popular music. So many great songs and artists, so many styles, so many freedoms, such richnesses. Wonderful.

We're back in business again
too many great albums didn't make the top100
anyway, I'm SHOCKED & AMAZED that Lodger has the 82 spot
I predict an avalanche of Bowie albums (Hunky Dory, Ziggy, Aladdin, Diamond Dogs, Americans, StS, Low, Heroes...) wow
so glad that Sticky Fingers, Exile and Some Girls are also (obviously) gonna make the top100
I predict a duel of Bowie vs Stevie for the n1 !!!!
and as I said a couple of weeks ago, my penis is at stake if Prince'79 makes the top10...!

Yep, great album; not very catchy and a bit difficult at times, but it was a groundbreaking album, and certainly the bible of 90s-00s alternative rock...

If you plan on getting it and have a working turntable then get the vinyl edition. The bass is maddening. My subwoofer does a little dance every time I play the records.
