I agree. I thought Misery was old when I first heard it. Adam's voice doesn't vary enough for me to get into their music. "Keep in mind that I'm an artist...and I'm sensitive about my shit."--E. Badu

People are right with the comparison of Misery on This Love....I always wondered why I would sing that song right afterwards uncontrollably. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

I'll get the album later but I listened to "Hands All Over" last night and I have to say it's some sexy ass shit.

Well, "This Love" is still my favorite song by them, so that isn't a bad thing.
I find it funny that people are saying they need to change up their style. Isn't this album being billed as a return to their first album's style after the big changes on the last one? "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I think the album is really good. It does remind me of their first album, but that's mostly production wise. It has that organic sound that they left behind on the last album. I'm not dissing the last album, but it seemed to be more electronic driven. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

For me, this album is really a great meshing of the first two. Stuff like "How" sounds like a Scissor Sisters song. "Get Back In My Life" sounds like a freakin' Abba outtake, which I LOVE LOVE LOVE. But I can see where "Just A Feeling" has the vibe of the first album, like "She Will Be Loved", but it also reminds me of "Goodnight, Goodnight".
The great thing about M5 is that they're not a rock band, despite people thinking that. They're very dance oriented, very pop, yet very rock, can rock a great ballad. They're punk at times, and even head into disco/R&B at times.
I LOVE It Won't Be Soon Before Long. So much great stuff on there, and when you throw on the b-sides at the end, it's even better.

I agree. I think that's why you find so many different people loving them. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I always considered Maroon 5 a group that can do any kind of music they want to so just calling them rock disrespects what they bring to the table.
