Well, she's the Lady Gaga that's ahy we must not be that shocked to her outfits. Lady Gaga is known for her unsual outifts. She's not Lady Gaga if she will wear ordinary clothes. I am not offended on her outfit because I am not a vegetarian or whatsoever. I eat whatever I want. However, I am not also in favor with her meat dress. Meat is a food. Lots of people are hungry out there and yet she wasted the meat for nothing. I just hope that she won't use any foods as an outfit again. And I think her outfit was gross. |

I can't believe that anyone cares.
If it was real meat, I imagine that it had to go through a plastination process in a lab as invented by German scientist Gunther Von Hagens, otherwise it would have stunk, stained, bled, and eventually disintegrated into a maggot infested mess attracting insects of all sorts. I've worked as a food stylist before and meat cannot last long exposed to the elements & coming into contact with other matter before it browns and spoils. |

I'm a vegetarian and I dont feel offended by this. I'm more offended when people wear fur, or gorge their face with more meat than anyone would need. But I'm guessing the majority of people arent actually offended because of the 'moral' issue, so what are people actually annoyed at? I think its more because its Lady Gaga than anything. People are getting fed up with her and are looking for reasons to start bringing her down. The only thing that annoys me is when people act like no one has been as big as her since Madonna. The media has such bad memories. The hype around Britney and Eminem was much bigger. |

Agree with all of this (well I'm not vegetarian but everything else )
I think people just automatically react to her, rather than thinking or they're still too slow to realise she does everything for a reason, not everyone is a Kardashian, doing shit solely for attention/reaction. Yes, she wants to grab your attention but there's a MEANING behind it for her, she wants you to see it and THINK of what she's thinking/presenting and how it symbolically relates to it. She said herself "If we don't stand up for what we believe in, we're nothing more than meat" and with the Vogue cover; "I am NOT a piece of meat". She wants you to THINK, how many other celebs want that/even care? |

Yeah, but stating "stand up for what you believe in" and "I am not a piece of meat" aren't deep statements that make people think. These are cliches that we've heard a billion times before from tons of different celebrities. Besides, she IS a piece of meat. Ask any crocodile or bear. I'm certainly no Gaga champion, but I would at least giving her credit for making the decision herself to wear it even if it's not a totally original idea. Those girls on top model are a step away from Japanese tentacle porn! They will endure whatever just to avoid being yelled at by Janice. |

Yeah and I know what Gaga's doing. Anything she does is attention-grabbing so of course people were gonna talk about it. I'm not surprised people are throwing a fit here. I personally could care less though, I'm over the fuss over the dress anyway. |

This is a complete radical statement and I love radical statements. It was a fuck you to society and to pc liberals who can't take a joke. This is like Prince and his assless pants, sans meat.
I liked it. The photo in Japanese Vogue was great and art is supposed to elicit debate and the debate doesn't have to be positive or specific. Yeah her explanation was lame, I was assuming (before she spoke) that it was some kind of pro-animal statement, like to show what we are really wearing when we are wearing fur or something of that type but she took it to a lame direction. Still though, I think it qualifies as art, her persona and appearance (not her music). So I like it (even though she is obviously trying too hard and she is hardly convincing in many things). |

The average pop listener/follower doesn't expect to be presented with anything, much less an artistic statement. Half the reason the music industry is so close to being dead right now is the lack of meaning behind it all. I appreciate her attempts to inject some sort of thought process or debate into her work, no matter how "simple" or "unoriginal" anybody thinks it is. |

i didn't really have an opinion on her "meat dress". saw it and thought..ok. a meat dress. not really shocking. as far as the statement she was trying to make....ummmm...yeah ok. LOL!! great thing to stand up for, but honestly, no one would've got that message from a "meat dress". she wanted to bring discussion about discrimination. awesome! but headlines aren't talking about the military/discrimination issue. they're talking about the dress. yes, people will read about the dress, and if they care to, will read into her reason etc.... i like Lady Gaga and her fashions are cool. but at times she comes across, to me, as being extremely pretentious. i think it would be sad if she became an unintentional parody of herself. i'm kind of Lady Gaga'd out at the moment.
good for her i suppose.
