DoNNa SuMMer On "America's Got Talent", Wednesday, September 15, 2010

I really never watch the show, but I shall this week:) I don't think she will be singing solo, but instead, singing a duet or two with one of finalists, Prince Poppycock.

She looked and sounded fantastic, but "Last Dance" AGAIN? She did that 2 years ago on American Idol finale as well, it's sad the US decided to remember Donna only for this song... sad She must be dead tired of it by now.

^ It's time Donna rebel and do "I Feel Love" or something.

I tell ya', it's the song she's most remembered for, I'd say:) How this performance went down was probably the Prince's idea since it was his night and his choice of duet. Regardless, I loved it. Based on a few times I've heard Donna talk, she would likely rather do new songs than old ones, but that's how it goes, sometimes. Probaby was Poppycock's choices of songs. Although, Donna does know that Last Dance is her signature song of singature songs, so......Glad she was on tv. It's a rarity nowadays.

I know it goes like that, I'm just not a fan of the song and I don't think it represents Donna's hits that well.

I don't watch the show, so I'm not sure about this, but I wouldn't be surprised if NBC did want signature songs that are instantly recognizable in the finale instead of allowing Donna to do her new song.

I didn't watch the show either. Never even heard of Prince Poppycock. LOL. I think Last Dance is a good representation of her hits. It won her an Oscar. It's not the only song that was a hit for her, but it's one of them, I'd say. But, I get it! You don't like the song, so it would only follow that you would feel towards it in that regard. I understand where you're coming from.

My guess is that Donna didn't need the money. Rather, an America's Got Talent finalist was asked whom he would like to duet with and he chose her, so she obliged. Yes, maybe she got paid, but I choose to think it was flattering to her and more about the request than the money. Sure! I could be wrong. LOL.
