"We're Going Out Tonight" by Cameo

When I first heard this back in 1980, I thought it was a duet between a man and a woman. I never dreamed it was a man which was the one and only Mr. Wayne Cooper. This one really shows off his falsetto especially towards the end.

Give it up motherfuckers!

Great track AND album. That was their first big tour....made it all the way out West (Kurtis Blow and Pleasure opened for them out here). Was a very fun show.

Remember them "teasing us" with tracks from the yet-unreleased "Feel Me" album while the band was setting up. First time we EVER heard "Throw It Down"...we were like, "ARRRGGGHHH!!!!! Gotta have it!!!!!!!! When's it comin OUT?!" lol

Wayne's death was a loss of a really great vocal talent. From all I ever heard, he was a really nice guy, too. Always gave 100% on stage (in spandex tights, no less....ha).

Love that voice.

I'd love to see Wayne and Prince in a battle of the falsetto and hollerin'. That would be a hell of a battle!
