And The Oscar Goes To...

In light of recent news about Queen 'Retha's biopic, I thought we'd take the time out to look back at past attempts at portraying our favorite legends. Here's just a batch of some of the most recent/famous. Which did you like the best?

If this was the Academy Awards, and these were the nominees presented, who would you give it to?

Beyonce Knowles as Deena Diana Ross, "Dreamgirls"

Angela Bassett as Tina Turner, "What's Love Got To Do With It"

Whitney Houston as Whitney Houston, "The Bodyguard"

Diana Ross as Billie Holiday, "Lady Sings The Blues"

Jennifer Hudson as Effie Florence Ballard, "Dreamgirls"

Halle Berry as Dorothy Dandrige, "Introducing Dorothy Dandrige"

PS: Yes I know the last nom was an HBO special. Who the fuck cares?

Angela, quite easily. One of the biggest disappointments in Oscar history.

No it wasn't. That film was root, except for the two lead performances. Holly Hunter won her Oscar fair and square. A wonderful performance in a a masterpiece of a film.

Space for sale...
