This show was all kinds of fuckery. Gaga looked a hot mess and her antics are getting so tired now. I hollered when Cierror came out struting in a fucking parking lot only to be stand-by for Nelly Furtado. BWAHAHAHA! Nicki doing jazzercise in a diaper and trying to pop her surgery enhanced cakes was funny. Usher's performance was very basic with the whole imitating of MJ moves and the strobe lights. Meh. All his performances seem like he's exercising. Even Chris 'beat them' Down is a better performer and that's not saying much.

I agree. I got up and walked into the kitchen for some left-overs after 30 secs...(wait, I lie...I gave him about 45)... of that mess. The sets and back-up dancers upstaged the performers.

Seriously Usher was on fire!! Now that i've seen the whole show, Usher and Kanye's were without a doubt the best performances of the night.I also enjoyed Linkin Park and gasp....Justin Beiber. Ya, exactly. They have their place and I`m cool with that....I'd never tell my kid not to listen to something...especially that harmless.

And, I have to admit, I don`t mind some of the tracks on his newer album...he does/did have a great little voice.

Oh I certainly don't see anything "wrong" with him. It's not like Gagag, Kesha, LMFAO, 3Oh3 and about 100 other "artists" I could name that I think should all be dropped off a very high cliff. I don't find him offensive, but I don't find him interesting or appealing, either.

I actually thought Kanye's performance was pretty interesting. It was minimal on purpose, which was nice for a change. I also liked the beat and the hook - need to hear the verses again before I can be sure about it, though. Thought it was cool that he had an MPC out there, too. It's a nice nod to a lot of what they do and probably makes it different than the studio version or future performances.

My God damn keyboard keeps getting set to Canadian french. Grrrr.

Compared to the BET Awards, MTV gets a #fail.

Usher's performance was pretty awesome, even if the first part is all MJ choreography. Oh well, this is his first big performance since MJ's memorial so I guess it makes sense considering what a big influence MJ was on his career.

EDIT: Thank god MTV is forking out the cash to actually hire a BIG stage again. Last year was good, this year a HUGE improvement. 2008 looked like they all crowded into someone's garage.
