Bryan Adams is one of those artists like Richard Marx or Barry Manilow or Air Supply that people say they despise and then when you mention songs by them their like "oh i love that one, i love that one and that one too"

However i dont get the whole "Mellencamp" comparison? Im not hearing it in eithers music, maybe one song like a Summer of 69, but still i think thats something that John would never do, hes a little too heartland and Bryan is more "ballady"

[Edited 9/5/10 21:03pm]

I Mainly did that cause it seem's the two are compared a lot, or to me anyway's when i mention Bruce, John or Bryan somebody usually ask's if i like the others idk

i guess it's one of these weird comparisions where they are always compared for what ever reason

Examples-

Journey/Foreigner- eh i guess i can see this one

Iron Maiden/Judas Priest- Beside's the fact there both 2 of the pioneers of metal and have long solos, there music and themes in there music are very different.

Michael Jackson/Prince- i Guess i can kind of see why there compared, but any fan know's there as different as day and night

Oh, I forgot "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman"! I like that one, too.

I do not own any of his music, but I saw him open for the Stones one time and he put on a pretty good show.

Nothing wrong with a little corn (or cheese, for that matter). As you said, the melody is nice.

Reckless is a fantastic album.

Summer of 69 and It's only love are two great songs.

My Favorite Bryan Adams song is Tonight from You Want It You Got it.

Our family motto came from "Summer of '69":

"Ain't no use in complaining, when you've got a job to do".

Sadly, my teenage kids have lost the spirit of that motto!

lol cool.

yeah. that's about all the Bryan Adams i need. a couple of his later songs were ok, but just ok.

"Run To You" & "Heaven" are probably my favourites. "It's only love" is a good one too.

nod Me too. But I have no hate for "Everything I Do". That's actually a really solid love song. And I enjoy the instrumental part of the song as much as the sung parts. I can kind of hear the guitar in my head, actually... which is kind of scary. Bow bow bow booowwww. lol
