Kylie! New Video, America's Got Talent & New Tour

The Les Folies Tour is the twelfth concert tour by Australian pop singer, Kylie Minogue in support of her eleventh studio album, Aphrodite.

During an interview in June 2010, Mingoue was asked if she was going to tour with her latest LP. She responded[1],

"Oh yeah! [...] Yes, I have show concepts in mind but I can't tell you yet, because it really is in its infancy [...] But come on, with the name Aphrodite as the launch pad, we're going to have a lot to play with! [...] I would like the tour to be like, you're on that sea... and there are the rushes and the dips, and you're just feeling the love. The vibe that I've put out there with All The Lovers, and that I'm getting back, is 'feel love, share love'. That's what I want the show to be."

Minogue expressed it will be a world tour stating she would like to return to tour the Americas and possible perform a show in Ibiza. She stated, "The last couple of years I've really made the effort to visit a lot of places I'd never toured in before and that was so rewarding, fulfilling and inspiring. I'm a glutton for punishment so I want to do it again and I want to take it even further."[2]

The tour was silently announced in Hamburg, Germany during the 2010 Gay Pride Festival on August 8, 2010. An advertisement banner was displayed during the festival showing the German tour dates.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Listen up, Kylie Minogue fans! The Aussie pop diva will return to the U.S. to tour in 2011, she tells Access Hollywood exclusively.

“I’m coming back,” Kylie told Access on Wednesday, at a rehearsal for her “America’s Got Talent” performance. “Next year, 2011.”

Kylie, who toured the U.S. for the first time ever in her over-20-year career in Fall 2009, said American fans are “unbelievable.”

“Touring here was one of the best decisions,” she said. “There was so much love in the room – the fans were amazing.”

The pop powerhouse is currently putting finishing touches on the music video for her new single “Get Outta My Way.”

You can check out a preview HERE!

“I’m dead excited about it,” Kylie said about the new video. “It looks really fresh… great choreography.”

“Get Outta My Way,” the second single off the star’s 11th studio album, “Aphrodite,” will be officially released on September 27.

I'm kind of dissapointed by the video. I figured they might try something a little more like "All The Lovers". I was actually thinking of Kylie in an ice cream truck, spreading joy all over!

Hmmm. The "trailer" to the video looks an awful lot like many of her past videos. The videos from her last album had a cheap look to them that didn't really work. Looks a bit like it would have the "William Baker" -factor to it, which doesn't necessarily attract larger audiences.

The song has great hit potential, so it's up to the marketing. It's one of her best filter disco songs, although the style maybe considered outdated by some.

I agree wholeheartedly here. I was hoping (although I knew it was never going to happen) for....

A zombie-themed video!

Given the lyrics "and I don't recognize the zombie you've turned into" and the fact that all of the dancers dyed their hair, I thought this could have made for a camp horror classic!

Blergh.

The video doesn't work for the song. The earlier TV performance had such great energy and they've tossed all that aside for some glamour shot posturing. She isn't even smiling in it. In fact, she looks really uninterested in the whole thing.

It isn't terrible, but I have hard time believing it will aid to song to become an international hit. The male dancers in ridiculous outfits thing isn't suited to larger audiences either, although she's had that thing going on in her live shows for quite a while now. This time the outfits look just way too silly.

I agree.

You know, I saw Kylie at the Hollywood Bowl earlier this year and boy oh boy that was a complete cheese fest. It was like a really bad Vegas/Cruise ship act. Ol' girl just stands there while the shirtless boys "dance," around her. One gay stereotype after the other. She actually had a song where the "set" was a locker room with boys in the shower and shit. It was just awful. The boyfriend and I had a fight about it. He loves her. I. Don't. Get. It. At least Madonna actually dances and engages the audience. The Kylie music is good for dance music but it could be any of the interchangeable gay divas (Gaga, Britney, Kate Perry, insert name here), this old hag had zero personality and it was apparently her first time playing Los Angeles. My man was grasping at straws to convince me of her value, "but she overcame cancer," etc. etc. I was actually angry after the show. Our friends, and most of the audience was blissfully happy. But then again, I'm a Joni, Bjork, Ani, fan, I'm a snob like that.

I've been to opening night of 3 Madonna tours and girl said nothing just did the show

I went to opening of Kylie's NA Tour and she cried, talked to us in between at least 4 songs. thanked everyone for coming. Took a sign out of the audience and held it through an entire song. pointed at another one and laughed at it. on her live recording of the tour she interacts with one guy in the audience through the show.

kylie's much more personable when she is performing than Madge and i love both the divas so i'm not comparing just stating what i've seen.

Kylie Minogue collapses in fit of giggles as 'impersonator' is revealed to be her Scissor Sisters pal Jake Shears

By Sarah Bull
Last updated at 1:15 AM on 25th September 2010

She couldn't hide the look of astonishment on her face when an apparently elderly woman came onto the stage wearing the outfit from her Can't Get You Outta My Head video.

But what Kylie Minogue didn't realise that behind the wig, prosthetic mask and elaborate costume was her Scissor Sisters friend and collaborator Jake Shears.

The 31-year-old singer had donned the outfit to play a prank on Kylie as she appeared on Paul O'Grady Live last night.

And when, after an Oscar-winning performance from Jake, his true identity was revealed, Kylie collapsed in a fit of giggles and ran over to greet the singer.

Sitting on his lap and beaming with delight, Kylie laughed and joked around with Shears, who was also struggling to contain his excitement after successfully fooling the pint-sized singer.

As she spoke to O'Grady about the revelation, Kylie laughed: 'I knew something - I recognised the eyes!'

The pair have an incredibly close relationship, having worked together on numerous occassions and collaborating on Kylie's new album Aphrodite.

Kylie even joined the Scissor Sisters on stage when they performed at the Glastonbury Festival earlier this year.

As well as joining guests including Jo Brand and Bob Hoskins for an interview with well-loved host O'Grady, Kylie also performed her new single Get Outta My Way.

Wearing a colourful tassled dress, Kylie, 42, put on an energetic performance with complex choreography and dozens of dancers.

Talking about the single recently, Kylie said she liked the message. of the record.

She explained: 'I like the defiance in the song. It's also got a bit of a wink of the eye at the same time.'

And the singer, who has been travelling the world promoting her new single and album, also reflected on her career and how much she has accomplished in her life.

She said: 'Eleven studio albums, I guess is a lot.

'It kind of blows my mind when I can clearly remember making my first demo tape - like cassette - when I was 17-years-old.'

Take That to team up with Kylie?

Take That to team up with Kylie? Tuesday, September 28 2010, 11:59 BSTBy Robert Copsey, Music Reporter

Take That are considering teaming up with Kylie Mingoue for a one-off US show, it has been claimed.

The group, who are gearing up for the release of their new studio album - their first as a five-piece in 15 years - are said to be keen to perform with Minogue at the Hollywood Bowl next year, The Mirror reports.

"The guys really want to pull out all the stops for this," said a source.

"Robbie and Kylie are close and it was seeing the success of her show at the Hollywood Bowl that sparked the idea they could play there in the first place."

It was reported last month that the reunited band are planning a tour for next summer.
