Last album you listened to for weeks and weeks? For me the last few have been John Mayer's Into the Light (live album), David Gilmour's Live in Gdansk (live album), Kaiser Chiefs (any of the three), Muse's Black Holes and Revelations and the Scissor Sisters debut album. That's really sad. Not sure if it says something about me or the state of the music.
Perhaps it's the way music is so available now or just perhaps that I'm 39 and don't sit in my room like a lonely teenager lamenting the way of the world.
I bought Zero 7's album "Record" last week and that is exceptionally good. If you like that kinda thing. Very English though so you guys over the waters probably wouldn't like it.

The most recent album would be The Noisette's Wild Young Hearts.

I'm not sure what you mean, but a few albums that have been in heavy rotation for me is Bone Thugs N Harmony's E. 1999 Eternal and The Art Of War. And also Crucial Conflict - The Final Tic. But I have have been listening to those on a regular basis for years, so I don't know if it would fall under this weeks and weeks category.
Kid Cudi - Man On The Moon: The End Of Day just came out in 2009 and when I first got it, I listened to it daily. Still listen to it pretty often. Bone Thugs N Harmony - Uni5: The World's Enemy just came out in may and I have been listening to it since then, especially in the begining of the summer. So I guess you could count these two.

I have been hooked on this ever since I downloaded it a little over 2 weeks ago.
If I ever had the tools to make a funk album It would probably sound just like this one.
The sound is walking on the borderline between post purple rain synthjams and R&B from the late 80s. (lots of gated snares, digital synths)
You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

I'm infatuated with John Cunningham's Homeless House and Happy-Go-Unlucky. I'd never heard of John Cunningham prior to Joe Pernice (one of my favourite performers) reissuing these records on his own Ashmont Records label this year. It quickly became a daily obsession, and I just can't remember the last time that happened. I'm on the fence on one song (Welcome to the World), but otherwise I honest-to-god love every single minute of these albums. To me, this is a dream combination of the Left Banke, Sunflower-era Beach Boys, Nick Drake and Paul McCartney's better solo records.
