July 29 "BETTER" - Soul diva, and independent artist, Angela Johnson. If you ain't heard of this woman, you NEED to. Her albums Got To Let It Go, They Don't Know, and A Woman's Touch Vol. 1 (a compilation of collaborations) are incredible. Her latest album, It's Personal, is truly that - PERSONAL.

August 5 "LACEE" - Modern day blues and R&B singer Lacee. I found Lacee....somehow on the internet, and listened to her album, Lacee's Groove. Blew my socks off. I think daPrettyman mentioned knowing about her too, and really likes her. She does a pretty cool cover of Color Me Badd's "Sex U Up" as well, as a fun little track on her album.

Then on August 19, "MEN" - Are men getting a bad rap in the media? We'll talk about it!

But you really don't want to miss Angela Johnson. She's beautiful, and ain't pulling any punches. If you love the likes of Leela James, N'Dambi, etc, you'll love Angela Johnson.

I haven't taken the time to listen to Lacee. I know she was on

the BarKays label a few years ago along with J.Blackfoot and

Archie Love. I don't see her on the roster on their label now.

Her label is Advantage Records, which I assume is an indie label (and also a data storage company based in Houston - different beast there).

I'm anxious to talk to Lacee as well, and let folks her hear music. The Angela interview tonight was just wonderful. Love that girl, and she lives really close to me.
