Which artists do you own every album?

...for the sake of the thread and to make it easier base it on artists/bands that have released at least 8 studio albums

Mine are.... (other than Prince)

David Bowie (including Tin Machine eek )

Queen (and all solo albums including Roger Taylor's band The Cross)

Gary Numan (I questioned why with a couple of late 80s albums)

AC/DC

Aerosmith

ZZ Top (early stuff is the best by far)

Status Quo (I know....)

Peter Gabriel

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (I'll stand corrected on this as discogs vary)

Moby

Adam Ant/Adam and The Ants

The B-52s

Nitin Sawhney

Underworld (includes the pre dubnobasswithmyheadman stuff)

Killing Joke (dodgy 'Outside The Gate' album)

Nine Inch Nails

Biosphere

Air

these are the days of wild........

Prince

Sly and the Family Stone

GCS/Larry Graham - pretty sure I have all of those

ConFunkShun - gotta love used vinyl!

Ani DiFranco

Jeff Buckley

Smashing Pumpkins

Metallica

Slipknot

Moby cool

Pearl Jam

Tupac

Outkast

Aphex Twin - under all his aliases - also have all but two Rephlex releases

Autechre

Boards of Canada

Venetian Snares

Freeform

Omit - less a couple of his REALLY early cassette releases

Tim Hecker

Grateful Dead - including all the Dick's Picks and all the box sets

Subtle

Nine Inch Nails! - already had to edit to add this one lol

I've got complete collections from a ton of lesser known electronic artists, but most people wouldn't know who they were, anyway. Probably got some complete jazz collections, too. But there are so many re-releases, box sets, imports and obscure "really, that exists?!" from a lot of those artists that I'm never really sure.

Errr... I'd have to get up and go through all the shelves to list more.

I love Mr. Funk! I don't own anywhere close to all of his releases, but I really like a lot of it.

I think I only have complete collections for the following.

Pernice brothers/Joe Pernice/Scud Mountain Boys/Chapaquiddick Skyline
Grant Mclennan
Feelies
The High Llamas
Eric Matthews

Most of these acts only have a few releases, so having their complete discography is really no great accomplishment.

Even when I was at my peak of nerdy record collecting, I was never the type who had to have every album or weird import or b-side. To this day I still have gaps in my Dylan & Fall collections (my two favourites - I own far more records by them then any other acts). The Dylan albums I have to buy (Knocked Out Loaded, Saved, Empire Burlesque, & a few others) are so dire that it's hard for me get enthusiastic about parting with the money. I truly want to plug the few missing links for the Fall, but a few of their records have become quite rare. I'm holding out hoping for reissues. If they never come, then I'll just pay the premium for a 2nd-hand copy.

Only Sade. I don´t have all the Prince albums, nor even the MJ albums, cause I am missing a lot of the early stuff with J5. I think I have all the Jacksons albums though.

I'd have have to dig deeper for a complete list and check for some artists if they reached the 8-album-mark, however here's what I can come up with from the top of my head

Prince
Earth Wind & Fire
Stevie Wonder (probably missing one or two of his 60s albums, I'd have to check though)
Public Enemy
Parliament
George Clinton solo (yes, there are that many)
Marvin Gaye (missing most 60s output, but certainly complete post WGO, including the posthumous albums if they count as "regular" albums)
Anita Baker (though I only counted 7 regular albums... but adding one compilation makes it 8 razz)
Zapp & Roger
Luther Vandross
Michael Jackson
Chaka Khan
Ice Cube
Take 6
Wham/George Michael
Whitney Houston (counting Bodyguard and Preachers Wife)
Janet Jackson

and some of your are cheating... Jamiroquai, Time, Brandy, Deele, EnVogue, Clash, Nirvana, N.W.A., Maxwell, Wendy & Lisa, Rene & Angela etc. etc. etc. ...not 8 regular studio albums hmph! razz

Own as in record store bought?

Yeah - record store bought - fair question / point though; it wasn't clear. A paid download is fair enough though but illegal downloading would be a bit of a cheat as anyone could pretty much own everything by any artist doing that.

Love the diversity and eclectic tastes P fans have looking at the posts. Cool.

It would take too long to list everyone as I tend to buy all the albums of the artists I like and usually it will take a few consecutive bad albums for me to stop buying a certain artists
