I love the grit in her voice, I've always been fascinated about how singers gain confidence over their singing styles the older they get.

And obviously "Motown" cast a spell on her too,,,,like everybody else. Good lil' ditty!

Yeah this was definitely a Motown-esque ditty. nod

This girl's catalog is actually real deep considering... and this was before she took that fateful role in "Hair" oddly enough.

Yep. I think she about left school when she cut this. Shortly afterwards, she was singing background for Aretha and Sinatra like a year after this came out.
