What's made your top ten list for 2010 so far?

Not been a great year, but not awful by any means.

My favorites so far:

Contra - Vampire Weekend

Together - New Pornographers (their best yet)

Love Is All - Two Thousand and Ten Injuries

B.O.B. - The Adventures of Bobby Ray (pure pop album of the year)

Hot Chip - One Life Stand

Kelis - Flesh Tone

Maya - MIA

Funstyle - Liz Phair (yes it's kinda silly but my brain just seems to shut down with her. Oh god ima fam!)

Prince - 20ten (begins and ends weak. But oh that middle...) Treats - sleigh bells (novelty album. But I like it)

Janelle is growing on me. If every track were at the level of Dance or Die, it'd be my number one. Biggest disappointment for me is Gorillaz. Too sleepy

I was definitely disappointed with LCD. The tracks just don't have that much interesting going on to drone for 8 minutes or whatever!

Don't have one quite yet, but Badu, Monae and Sade have been outstanding thus far.

Waiting to hear 20TEN, the new Bilal album, Maxwell's followup (if it's going to drop this year), and Madvillain.

Wow. I'm surprised! I think This Is Happening is rightfully awesome. It may not be as amazing as Sound of Silver, but practically nothing is.

I really want to like it, and there's some songs on it that are definite faves...but the things that bug me about this album really bug me...

Remove the tedious introduction to Dance Yrself Clean; drop Somebody's Calling Me and edit You Wanted a Hit to under 6 minutes? I'd be arguing this album is as good as Sound of Silver.

Not in order.

1. Bone Thugs N Harmony - Uni5: The World's Enemy

2. Krayzie Bone - The Fixtape 3: Lyrical Paraphernalia

3. Tech N9ne - The Lost Scripts Of K.O.D.

4. Brotha Lynch Hung - Dinner And A Movie

And although not releases you can find in stores

5. Bone Thugs N Harmony - Thugggish II

6. Bone Thugs N Harmony - Bone 2010

Not out yet, but will most likely make my list

7. Kid Cudi - Man On The Moon 2: The Legend Of Mr. Rager

8. Bizzy Bone - Crossroads 2010 (Judging by the snippets, it's okay but not amazing)

9. Tech N9ne Collabos: The Gates Mixed Plate

And these following are not released in 2010, but they are still relevant and still have singles and selling copies.

10. The Black Eyed Peas - The E.N.D.

With that said, another good album from 2009 that is still relevant in 2010 that I would have added if we could have more than 10 is Alicia Keys - The Element Of Freedom. Tech N9ne's K.O.D. was great too, and was released in late 2009, but I don't think it'd be possible to add that in considering the "era" of that album (videos, promotion, ect) is gone.

That first track for me is just a momentum killer - there's always been something about Murphy that puts me off a little. Can't quite put my finger on it - it's like he seems bored or something. And that long first track really highlights that somehow. I do like a few songs on it, though.
