Hmm... it kinda sounds Miseducation-ish or it could've been for her follow-up that never came out who knows...but I dig it.

It definitely sounds like this was recorded around the "Miseducation" era probably after the album came out and blew up, but if it really was recorded during the sessions, I can see why this wasn't considered to be on the album. I like it though. I wonder if a Legacy Edition of "Miseducation" is coming out soon? Check me out and add me on:

That would be a good idea, especially since apparently, there's no new Lauryn Hill album on the way.Remaster the classic album and throw a bunch of outtakes on it.I'd like for them to include "The Sweetest Thing",a soundtrack gem that she left off the album.I remember spending $16 for the 'Love Jones' soundtrack JUST for that one song!

I did the same thing. Only in my case, it became one of the least played songs in there seeing that the soundtrack is full of gems(it was my 1st introduction to Duke Ellington and Billy Eckstine/Earl Hines).
It was also my 1st introduction to Dionne Farris.

but you like that Lauryn Hill song too, right? I was mesmerized when I first heard it.Sounds like an early 70s soul song.

It's mega yawn inducing. Boring. Which explains why if it's a reject track why it wasn't included on a previous album. Prince esta muerto...
