Amerie Changes Spelling Of Name

Amerie has officially changed the spelling of her name to Ameriie.

The Grammy-nominated star, whose new album Cymatika Vol. 1 will be released next year, has added an extra 'i' to her name to reflect her "positive energy".

The 'Touch' singer made an announcement about the name change to fans via her Twitter page.

She wrote: "New twitter name @ItsAmeriie."

Discussing her forthcoming record, she said: "I’m still in the studio right now, so the best thing I can say is it’s a very international, worldly sound."

Ameriie also announced her engagement to longtime manager Lenny Nicholson.

If she focused less on changing her name and more on changing up some of her vocal riffs, it might help her a little better.

Not exactly...

Warwick, for years an aficionado of psychic phenomena, was advised by famed astrologer Linda Goodman in 1971 to add a small "e" to her last name, making Warwick "WARWICKe" for good luck and to recognize her married name and her spouse, actor and drummer William "Bill" Elliott.
