MY 3RD ANNUAL "HOLIDAY MUSIC IN THE SUMMERTIME" THREAD!

Every year i have this urge to listen to my favorite christmas songs. I try to limit the songs i listent o adnd how many times i listen to them, because its almost an out of body experience to hear them when the time of year is appropriate. but there are a handful of tracks I GOTTA hear.

HANDS DOWN MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY SONG

THIS ONE IS SO DAMN SAD (considering)

JUST DISCOVERED THIS LAST YEAR. NEVER HEARD THE WHOLE SONG, JUST THE TAIL END ON THE RADIO. WAITING TO HEAR THE WHOLE SONG NEXT YEAR

THIS ISNT REALLY A CHRISTMAS SONG, BUT THEY PLAY IT ALOT DURING CHRISTMAS (must be the bells) i love how the music SOARS.

I listen to "Santa Baby" year round. I suppose that counts.

Yup! I loooove Christmas music

The other day the song "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" kept ringing in my head. But honestly I listen to John Coltrane's version "My Favorite Things" year round.

I only listen to "Our First Christmas by Alexander O Neal or Paul McCartney's "Simply Having"...

Yeah it's mine too, for years I thought Mariah had just updated an old Christmas song, was really surprised to learn it's an original Mimi effort

I never fight the urge to listen to Christmas music.

The entire Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown soundtrack remains in my constant rotation, as well as Sting's original recording of Gabriel's Message and Dianne Reeve's Christ Child's Lullaby.

And as far as I'm concerned, anything sang in Latin is appropos for any and all occasions in my house.

I listen to Stevie's Christmas album every now and then.

I try to listen to all my Xmas albums once a year, but I have like 25 of them.

This is actually the time when many artists are recording new Christmas albums to release in the fall I wonder how they do it....walk into a recording studio,in the summertime (!) and sing Christmas songs.Acting like it's all cold and snowy outside,lol.

i listen to my sufjan stevens xmas box set all the time. no shame in that!

I always wondered that myself. They must wear winter clothes in the studio and have fake snow falling from the ceiling to get into the mood.

I'm guilty of doing this....

I dunno... I like listening to Christmas music.... It makes me happy and gives that Christmas-sy atmosphere that I love... xD

P.S. The J5's Christmas album is probably my favourite Christmas album. Been captivated to it since I was a child and Christmas is never complete unless I play that album...

I'm pride her for that...it's a great accomplishment. Gives her a lot of credit....to me at least.
