For me, this pic alone slays every other pic posted on this topic! You guys don't want to hear the thoughts this pic brings to mind. Which brings me to my next point. Regardless of her age, Janet still delivers! With an exceptional round ass like that, most men couldn't care less about her D.O.B.
And btw, Janet makes Rihanna look like a boy compared to her body in this pic. Has anyone ever noticed that Jan has some of the most narrow hips though? I think its funny that she's all ass and little to no hips. I love it though. Beyonce, Alicia Keys on the other hand, really have more hips than a juicy voluptuous ass like Janet's

All the hoopla about Janet's boob popping out and her performance on Essence and "oh the kids...what about the children???"...is really ridiculous. Children see worse on Family Guy.
And I don't care how you try to shield kids from anything sexual, they are going to hear it or see it. Whether it's in the babysitter's car or at home when they get mom's CD and play it. My son doesn't allow TV in his home. He has a 7 year old daughter who now miraculously knows all the words to Rude Boy. I get in the car to take her home and it came on the radio. I tried to change the station because I didn't think it was appropriate for her to listen to. She gets mad and says, "Don't turn it, don't turn it. That's my favorite song," and proceeds to sing every verse. My other son's little boy (age 6) was walking around the other day singing, "Shawty got a bootie like pow, pow, pow."
Explicit songs on the radio right now that any child can hear if a parent isn't paying attention and I think are far worse than a 3 second peek at a breast:
Sex Room--Luda & Trey Songz
Lil' Freak--Usher/Nicki
Ride--Ciara (banned by BET)
Neighbors Know My Name--Trey Songz
Rude Boy--Rhianna
My Chick Bad--Luda & Nicki
Sex Therapy--Robin Thicke
So I just think that before we get all in a huff about Janet's performance let's rant about the stuff they play on the radio. "Let love be your perfect weapon..." ~~Andy Biersack |

Janet made better albums than Michael and also kept up with the times better musically and dance-wise than Michael. But after the Super Bowl her weakness as a flat singer and rehashing horrible choreography along with music that sounds like b-sides and demoes is what sealed her fate as a has been of sorts. I'm glad she finally gave up and went to acting... she was great in the Tyler Perry movie and I never gave a damn about her acting before. Stevie Wonder = EARTH
Prince = WIND
Chaka Khan = FIRE
Sade = WATER

Well I'm a fan of both michael and janet though in the late 90's for some time I was more into her cause of VR and just being nuts for RN and so forth. When Michael wasn't around, it was nice having janet around and taping a lot of things, even in the 00's though she had very weak moments though strong ones too. Even though Discipline was so good though it didn't sell much, I'm glad she's acting more instead too cause that's where she's having hits now and she's the perfect age for it. She looks great, is going back to her roots and is a free agent like she said.
As for better albums than michael, I wouldn't say that, they're both awesome individuals. My top 5 albums from any Jackson are (in no order) Bad, Rhythm Nation, Destiny, Janet and Dangerous. |

Janet was a force in her own right. A great entertainer. But sorry, I'll have to disagree with your statment on Janet making better albums than Michael. In my opinion, that's just not true. Not only does she not have strong vocal abilities, but the material itself could not hold a candle to Michaels. I hate when people compare them because it's really comparing apples to oranges. One was a genius, the other was just "good at her game". Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that? |

I look at it this way... Control was her Off The Wall the beginning of her real solo career. So if we look at each album from that standpoint then yes Janet made better albums because she stayed with a team that new her weakness as a singer and gave her the right material to hide it and showcase whatever strentghs she had. Once Michael left Quincy his albums became trash. I wasn't really comparing because we all know that Janet was the female Michael in every way possible. I'm not really a fan of either or any of the Jacksons. Their chipmunk voices don't really excite me and they all sound alike to me. Also Janet sung about more interesting things than Michael and his boring ass obessions with paranoia and kiddy anthems.
Off The Wall (my favorite) = Control
Thriller = Rhythm Nation (my favorite)

Invincible <<< All For You

I see where you are going with your album comparisons. However I guess to each his own because I still think Michael's material had more substance. When you mentioned the thing about "chipmunk voices"....I've always felt that way about Janet's sound. To be honest...I pretty much never liked her sound actually, I found it downright irritating. But I could definitely get into songs like "That's the Way Love goes"...."If I were your girl", and maybe like 2 others. That's really it for me.
But with that being said. She was hella fun to watch, and she mastered the choreography taught to her...she rocked it. You could tell that she worked very hard as an entertainer, and that's really what got her over in my opinion. Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that? |
