I'm not that familiar with Rick's albums (I only have the debut and Street Songs), but the compilation I have makes it seem like Rick was never fully comfortable updating his sound for the 80s after Street Songs. Still, I enjoy this song and some others ("Can't Stop" is a guilty pleasure).

I think 'Glow' is a good album. Not great, but very good. There are a few gems on that album.

I didn't like 'The Flag' at all.A very mediocre album.Rick was feuding with Motown at the time and I don't think he really put alot of effort into this album.

'Wonderful' wasn't too exciting either, but I do like several tracks on 'Urban Rapsody'.That album is pretty decent. The slow jam with JoJo "Don't Ever Say You Love Me" is a standout.

If they'd remaster those albums, like they just did with "Fire It Up" and "Garden Of Love", I'd buy 'em today nod . These two remasters sound great btw. Plus the bonus tracks are awesome.

I don't care what anyone says. The video to Glow may

have been cheesy but the song itself was the jam.

'Deeper Still' has a few cool songs.'Cold Blooded' was probably Rick's last truly great album.

That one, "Good Ole Days", "Player's Way", and "Mama's Eyes" are also decent but there's no damn funk on the album and for a funk artist not to have any funk on their album is grounds for an ass beating. I don't give a damn if funk was out of style. Hell, the little motherfuckers don't have no taste these days so of course they wouldn't buy some funk but bring the damn funk back for those of us who still have taste. lol

The Flag is better than Glow imo

and Glow sounds nothing like purple rain.
