I think Chris' meltdown was part MJ and part all the shit he's been through.

nod I agree. I was ready to hate his ass, but I must admit I was rather moved. I think the emotion was genuine, but I think it had as much to do with his own troubles as anything else.

I think he did a pretty good job nailing Michael's moves too. Just don't think I'm ready to totally forgive him yet - but his tears did move me a little in that direction.

Chris made me tear up too, damn! And I KNOW Chris is genuine. He has always been a MASSIVE MJ fan.

I thought he was excellent though. This is one of the best tributes i've seen to Michael. Best performance of the night so far to me.

That was TRASH. Sobbing onstage? I mean, really? Where's your professionalism? Not surprised that Jermaine approved of such fuckery to happen. SMDH.

he should not have been allowed to do that tribute like that- he was embodying a legend- so not appropriate- when is the last time you've seen a tribute where the performer dresses and copies every move of the artist? so inappropriate for a tribute- Jermaine musta been in charge on this one. and no there was no way he coulda sang that song at the end no way

Why shouldn't he had? Damn ya'll really crucify people who have made mistakes in their lives. The man has to move on some kind of way and move past whatever the fuck happened in the past. MJ was his idol so why couldn't he have honored him? If he would have gotten up there and made up all his moves and then danced to MJ's music then it wouldn't have made no sense. Would it had been better if Usher had done it...no. Let's move on people.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Yeah that's what I got from his meltdown too, it's like he wanted to say "FUCK MAN, I'M FUCKING SORRY MAN, I'M FUCKING SORRY!!!!" I feel his pain when there are some who refuse to forgive you, but all homeboy needs to do is just focus on changing his life around for the better.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

The fucked up thing is that even though the BET Awards are full of buffonery every year, they're STILL better than the VMA's every year.

i dont care who they picked- a tribute is an artist taking a legendary song and singing it in a way that translates their talent, style and respect for the honoree. the BET awards is not a talent shoe- I dont know wth it is really - but NO ONE SHOULD HAVE been allowed to immulate MJ like tat for a tribute- it wasnt right- it just wasnt especially since MJ is dead

now what will u say if someone jumps on stage in purple heels and ruffles doing turns and splits for the Prince tribute?

LOVE HARD.
