Britney Spears' international singles? I'm trying to find a complete singles discography of Britney Spears, specifically singles that were released outside of the US. I know that there are a few songs ("Anticipating," "That's Where You Take Me" and "Unusual You") that were released as singles outside of the US but there are more that I am unaware of. Google does not seem to be of much help as any search with the words "singles" or "discography" seem to lead to download sites. Any help would be much appreciated.

I would say Wikipedia but they don't even list those songs you named as singles, but take a look anyway. I never realized "Someday" was a single until she released that boxed set (I didn't buy it but bought the single online for the b-side "Mona Lisa").

That's Where You Take Me and Unusual You were not singles. Anticipating was a single, but only in France.

I believe that "That's Where You Take Me" was a single in the Philippines and "Unusual You" was a single in Australia and New Zealand.

Nope. TWYTM was a radio promo if anything in the Phillipines, but Unusual You was not released anywhere in the world, much to my chagrin.

'Born To Make You Happy' was released in Europe and ended up becoming a #1 in the U.K.

Unusual You is her best song overall on any record, would have been a good single but most likely would not have caught on in the States, too good for here. It would have been a better choice than Radar.

I think she was lucky to get three singles out there and accepted, four was pushing it regardless of good or bad. I think on her singles people dont want something different and complex, they want poppy quick and throwaway "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

Fourth Circus single was a chance to demonstrate versatility. She should have taken it.

And "Radar" was that. I mean, I really don't get putting a song from the first album on the second (when the album already had enough songs, and mostly good songs) and then making that song a single, too. Just odd. I also thought "Unusual You" was one of her best. Excellent haunting pop song. I googled it and there were RUMORS that it was the "fifth single". The funny thing is, the person who wrote that either ignored the fact that "3" just about to be released (the story from a music blog was released about a week before "3" came out).

I think they always wanted RADAR to come out from Blackout, but they walked away from that album, depsite it being one of her best records. The whole BS in the press and media after she performed Gimme More, was way too much, the label was stupid, mtv came off as what they are Fakes, and people did nothing but dog her for it, so Gimme More did what it did and the album was moving but i think they wanted to get another one ready quick and despite it being good they just moved on to Circus. As for "3" it always cracks me up about that song because she had demos of that long before Blackout was being worked on. The other night I was listening to a lot of Britney including "Blackout" and "3". I think "3", despite being old, is really a top notch song. I think her singing in it of course isn't technically great but she really sells the song (the way her voice changes in the chorus is fantastic).

The reason I am asking about international singles is that I am trying to pad out two disc worth of singles to the full 80 minute running time. If you take the 29 a-sides from the recent box you get something that looks like this:
disc one:
...Baby One More Time Sometimes (You Drive Me) Crazy (The Stop Remix) Born To Make You Happy From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart Oops!...I Did It Again Lucky Stronger Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know I'm A Slave 4 U Overprotected I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman I Love Rock 'n' Roll Boys (The Co-Ed Remix)
disc two:
Me Against The Music Toxic Everytime Outrageous My Prerogative Do Somethin' Someday (I Will Understand) Gimme More Piece Of Me Break The Ice Womanizer Circus If You Seek Amy Radar 3
That leaves about 25-30 minutes of free space on each disc so I would like to fill up that time with some international singles. I probably need at least five songs per disc. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Her people promised the producers behind Radar that the song would be released but they wanted to end the Blackout era quickly. So they put it on Circus in order for it to be properly released.
It's worth noting the fanbase desperately wanted Unusual You as the 3rd single, so much so, her website had to make a statement saying it wasn't going to be (no real reason given). They then gave fans the option to choose the 4th single via her website, when Unusual You won they cancelled the poll and made only fan club members able to "decide" before canning the whole thing and announcing Radar.
I guess they didn't get the result they were expecting.
No, UY was not released here in Aus, only rumoured to be when she was touring.
As for international singles, there is the Darkchild remix of Overprotected which also has a (very good) music video.
There's also a list and download links of b-sides and demos here:
http://britneyspearsblackout.com/?p=4372#more-4372
The list stops at the Britney (2001) era but I can tell you a few more:
In The Zone: The Answer, Girls and Boys, I've Just Begun (Having My Fun).
Blackout: State of Grace, Dramatic, Get Back, Everybody, Kiss Me All Over, Pull Out, Let Go, Baby Boy, Outta This World, Sugarfall, Little Me, Rebellion.
(All fantastic tracks IMO, even though most are demos, this was without a doubt her best era, musically.)
Circus: Phonography, Amnesia, Rock Me In, Rock Boy, Quicksand (written by GaGa), Trouble.
(Again, all great songs, none are demos, Phonography is especially good, as is Trouble)
You should be able to find download links for most of these tracks on that site I gave you, if not just search on youtube and rip them using this:

Album tracks are great, too, you should check some of them out like Touch of my Hand, Breathe On Me or Let Me Be. [Edited 6/20/10 0:00am]

I believe there was another ITZ b-side called "Don't Hang Up." youtube link

"Phonography" was one of her best songs not to make an album, though, technically it did, it deserved to be on all versions of the album and could have easily been a single. I think they may have thought it looked to much like "pornogrpahy" and the USA was still unable to handle certain things, especially from Britney for some reason, they wanted to lighten her image somewhat, and keep scandals away from her.
