Charles Thomson Article : One of the Most Shameful Episodes In Journalistic History

(Charles Thomson writes an indepth article about the media bias and sloppy journalism during the 2005 MJ trial. Click Link below for complete article

It was five years ago today that twelve jurors unanimously acquitted Michael Jackson on various charges of child molestation, conspiracy and providing alcohol to a minor. It is difficult to know how history will remember the Michael Jackson trial. Perhaps as the epitome of western celebrity obsession. Perhaps as a 21st century lynching. Personally, I think it will be remembered as one of the most shameful episodes in journalistic history.

Aww,thanks!

thumbs up!

I wish Thomson would make a full-blown documentary detailing everything he wrote in that article. This needs to be read/seen everywhere.

In the meantime, this new documentary with similar content as Thomson's article was just released yesterday. It's called "The Trials Of Michael Jackson," and it's being shown on a channel called "Documentary Channel" on DISH Network and DirectTV:

Their site: http://thetrialsofmichael.../index.php

I love it when people reveal the true story like this. smile

Yeah, I believe the coverage of Michael Jackson's Trial may not have been fair.

But to compare it to a public lynching is insane.

I remember reading about a new MJ game a few weeks or days before the tragedy happened neutral, but I haven't read about an actual season/date it will be released since then. If it's really coming out this fall, WOW, that's going to be excellent!

Figuratively speaking, it might as well be that. To completely tarnish a man's image, reputation and goodwill for the whole world to see, without showing in the same emphasis that there were proofs after proofs of his innocence is def a classic case of a media lynching.

Yet, we have scums like Roman Polanski who was convicted of statutory rape but get the full support from the elite hollywood circle,,,,and the few ones who don't wanna speak out, are the ones who don't wanna jeopardize their next gigs.

Right, like Michael Jackson didn't have his fair share of high profile supporters.

The whole trial was a circus.

From Michael dancing on an SUV, to showing up in his pajamas, to this genius....

You act like everyone in Hollywood came to Polanski's defense. How are you gonna compare coverage of the trial of the one of the most famous people in the world to Roman Polanski?

Why is this even an issue? Michael Jackson was found Not Guilty.
