so this show is just going to devolve into a "tribute to artist x" show every week?

not that i mind. the madonna episode is the only one i've seen and i absolutely hated it. despite jane lynch and a focus on madonna, i still couldn't get into it. and i'm a total fag.

I have to admit, I like this show. However, the Madonna episode was quite awkward and didn't seem to be done very well. In fact, the second part of this show hasn't lived up to the first- it's as if they realize how popular the show has become and are trying to build their audience through cool references as opposed to focusing on what made the show good in the first place- the characters.

I'd like to see a Janet episode, but I'd like it to be done properly.

The first 2-3 episodes of the show were OK because the musical arrangements were good and wel thought out. Now it's just singing to an existing backing track so it's nothing but karaoke.

How so? I can think of plenty of songs from her catalogue that would fit right in to that show. And, Glee is just a retread of Fame anyway, and Fame is a part of her legacy. Her being the focus of the show is really a no-brainer.

Anyone who tries to defang a funk song like "Tear the Roof Off the Sucker" is suspect to me. I don't care if it was all for giddy fun. Just no.

I've never watched Glee, but I would check out a Janet-themed episode.

Glee doesn't give tribute to an artist every week.
