THE best one ever, even if Teddy had to borrow a few riffs from George Clinton!

For a long time now I've thought that on the 2nd album Teddy took New Jack which was already in technicolor and made it 3D. Think about it, every song on "The Future" had bigger vocals, more keys, extended jams, harder drums, louder bass. It's like "Guy" (1988) was his sketchpad/underground comic book and this was the blueprint to what he did as "Blackstreet" [Edited 5/23/10 14:39pm]

Good point. As I think about it I wonder if everybody's egos didn't eat 'em alive and if Gene Griffin hadn't been stealin from them, the Blackstreet albums would've been the next 4 Guy albums with Aaron and Damian's solo work in between a la Genesis or Zapp.... You think that in an alternate universe that's the only way we wouldnt've had the incident known as "Guy III" ?

I've always thought of Teddy's Jam 2 as the original's (TJ) big brother. Although the Atomic Dog sample is apparent, it still kicks ass! Love the energy in Teddy's playing and Aaron's vocals.

Although I like this, it was not my favorite of the 3. That honor goes to the first. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"
