Loving all the praise for this talented singer/songwriter. It's so sad when someone from your youth dies because it reminds you that we're getting older.
I'm probably the only dude from my old neighborhood who loved metal acts like Dio and Judas Priest, as well as loving the "uncool" groups like Duran Duran or Human League for example. These days I listen more to Pop & R&B (as seen in my love for Maxwell and my many threads on him). From 1983 to 1985 I really loved RJD with the albums "Holy Diver", "Last In Line" and "Sacred Heart". There's a special tomorrow night on VH1 on him, I will definitely watch it. R.I.P.
