Question: 1980 Budweiser Superfest Line Up? Does anyone remember the lineup for the 1980 Budweiser Superfest Tour?
I remember Angela Bofill opened (first act), Rufus w/Chaka, & The Brothers Johnson. It was like 6 hrs of non-stop classic R&B/Funk. It was also my very first concert!! What a way to be baptized!! These album were released at the time: "Angel Of The Night" "Masterjam" "Light Up The Night" I can't find any record of this on the net.

I remember attending several of the Budweiser Superfest shows here locally back in the day. I don't recall that show or line-up though, besides I believe the line-up would change, city to city.

At the New Orleans show Chic, Ray Goodman and Brown were also on the bill. "The first time I saw the cover of Dirty Mind in the early 80s I thought, 'Is this some drag queen ripping on Freddie Prinze?'" - Some guy on The Gear Page

This is the show I was asking about. It was at the Superdome. I remember Chic, but not Ray, Goodman & Brown. Thanks.

Yeah, Westwood One recorded many Budweiser Fests and broadcasted them back then. I think there were a number of re-airings of classic performances during the late 90's. Some artists' concerts who have been historized by Budweiser\Westwood :
- Angela Bofill - Atlantic Starr - Bar-Kays - Billy Ocean - Cherrelle - Dazz Band - Jacksons - Melba Moore - Midnight Star - One Way - Rick James - Steve Arrington - Whispers - Zapp - many more were recorded
Some Budweiser-commercials were recorded by O'Bryan / Roger & Zapp / and others
Westwood recorded also interviews with many artists.
