I have quite of few videos on my external HDD that have been blocked. Whatever. What I find kinda amusing over half of my videos have been jazz music, nobodies really listening to jazz these days. The music industry is trying to hold on (I guess) to some semblance of control of how music heard.

They need to create some software for Youtube members were we can run titles of an artist/song through sometype of systems check, to know what can be uploaded and what can't.

Yeah if they're so concerned about people posting music on YouTube, they should create a site where we can do that without no copyright complaints, they can review it and allow everyone to see it, rather than you post it and then have this blocked in this country and that country, but they just can't help but act like they're authorities. I'm sure most of the artists themselves don't care if their music is posted on YouTube, if it helps you to be introduced to an artist, then that's wonderful.

Thats a cool idea. I still think obscure artists would be Ok at the moment on those majors who have issues with this. Of course, you could just give the title of your upload the wrong name or deliberately not say who the artist is to get around it. Silly, but thats all i can think of.

^^ That's probably the only way you could get away with it if you title it something else. If you type in anything obvious, automatic blockage apparently. confused Then again I hate faking what something really is, not like me. wink
