Challenge... Can you name an artist/group/album/song...

All with the same name?

The closest I have ever been able to come is Big Country, singing In a Big Country, from the album Big Country. Can anyone do any better? smile

I've been challenged to name one a few times when passing time with my sister, but neither of us have ever been able to come up with one. Anybody have any thoughts?

Well.... I'm sorry to say these songs only fit 2 of the three criteria. They don't come from albums of the same name (at least not according to my allmusic searches)

However, Bad Company does! Awesome, thanks. smile

I don't think I can count the Monkees one (maybe I can get away with it)...

But Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden are awesome! Thanks! Not only does it fit the criteria, they are both well known bands. You and Shorttrini gave me 3 rounds of ammo for the next challenge. smile

I love this site.

Mr. Big, does

Brand Nubian does

Antrhrax does

They are all songs that come from albums by artist of the same name.

Which one doesn't?

The song "Icehouse" by Icehouse from their 1981 album Icehouse... although upon it's original 1980 release the band were named "Flowers"

A close one is the band Take That, they had a song called Take That & Party from the album of the same name.

Well, I can't find an album called "Anthrax" by anthrax on allmusic.

And while there is an album called "Mr. Big" by Mr. Big, it does not have the song Mr. Big on it. And no album called Brand Nubian. Allmusic may not be correct though, this is just based on my search.

Has to be song, artist, album -- all the same name.

Not sure why you have to say it like that. I acknowledged they could be wrong. I appreciate your help nevertheless.

Take care.

A lot of artists have self-titled albums, but is there a title track? And vice versa. BOC have an album AND a song with the same name, all in one package?

Chic had a lot of names like that.

First album was called Chic, with a song called "Est-Ce Que C'est Chic?".

Second album was C'est Chic, with a track called "Chic Cheer".

I'm blown away by how many people have come up with...

I was expecting some obscure and lesser known groups, but you guys have named some pretty high profile acts. Bravo!
