"Who Said" by The Isley Brothers

This was a hot one from their 1981 "Grand Slam" album. A sho-nuff ass shaker. As Don Cornelius would say..."Gettin' that stuff, tough enough". Give it up dammitt!

this is 1 of my favorite Isley Brothers jams..

it starts out funky, & then just gets.. FUNKIER.

the funkiest part is that break where they're saying (I think)
"I heard it.. I heard it.. I heard it.."
& then they stop on a dime - for a second.. & then..

"did you like that baby..?"

yeah, this 1's right up there with "take me to the next phase", "the pride" "fight the power" & a few others..

who said?
for real.
I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..

It was okay. Not one of my favorites.
I actually thought this was the weakest song
on Grand Slam which was a very underrated album.

My favorite song on the 'Grand Slam' album is the first single "Hurry Up And Wait",one of their best singles.

phunkdaddy is right, 'Grand Slam' is an underrated album. It's tight from beginning to end.
