"Madonna" Appreciation

I’ve been listenting to this album a lot lately. I think it’s my most listened to Madonna album along with "Confessions", "Music" and "The Immaculate Collection". I can’t believe I always thought "Like A Virgin" was Madonna’s first album. Her debut is so much better anyway.

How would you rank the songs on here from greatest to least fave?

I’d rank them like this

1)Burning Up
2)Holiday
3)Lucky Star
4)Physical Attraction
5)Borderline
6)Everybody
7)Think Of Me
8) I Know It

Lol, I meant “Burning Up”

I didn't really care too much for this song until Moonbeam hyped it up. Same with "Private Joy". They're both kinda similar, really simple uptempo rhythm track.

That song sucks lol It should have been replaced with the superior "Don't You Know"...

That's just a demo...imagine if it was "polished" a little bit.It would have been a highlight of her first album.

Interesting trivia...

*The song "Holiday" was originally intended for Patti LaBelle.I think it was also offered to another R&B singer before Madonna finally got her hands on it.

Much as I love her early shit, nothing will ever top "Erotica". I am not talking about "Erotica"-era Madonna, which is something else entirely, I am talking about about the record, 'cause that is one mighty and peerless fucking record. That other stuff is mad cool sweet memories and everything, but the truth is it's sketchbook material and "Erotica" is the goddman Sistine Chapel. I know this will be the first thing I reach for before the phone when the day comes that I hear of her passing. Have you hugged your copy today?

One of the two Madonna albums that i love start to finish ( I often see her as a singles artist, much of her unreleased album tracks are weak IMO)

1)Burning Up
2)Physical attraction
3)Everybody
4)Lucky Star
5)I Know it
6)Borderline
7)Holiday - (I know i'll get a lot of flack for placing it too low but i heard it too many times and it's pretty over rated to say the least)
8)Think of me

Ugh, Erotica is one of my least-favorite Madonna records. Some great singles (namely "Bad Girl" and "Deeper and Deeper," my 2 favorites on there by a long shot), but boring overall...
