Last time I saw Prince at Madison Square Garden, I was happy to get a ticket for $100, lol.

I remember there was alot of outrage, but not because of the ticket prices.Fans were pissed because of the lottery-styled way in which the tickets were being sold. You had to send in your name and the number of tickets you wanted to buy.If your name was picked, you were allowed to buy tickets. If your name wasn't picked, you were out of luck.

I kinda felt bad for Michael.I knew that he didn't want to do this tour. His family pressured him into doing it After 'OTW',he didn't need his brothers anymore. He had established himself as a hugely successful solo artist. In 1983/84,he should have just done a solo "Thriller" world tour.

In 1988,I saw Prince on the Lovesexy Tour for only $22.50. In 1990,I saw Madonna's Blond Ambition show for only $35.00 These days, you won't find too many concert tickets that are less than $100

$30 was a rediculous price for concert tickets back then. Most concerts were $7 or $8 and you got to see three groups. Andy is a four letter word.

My mom loves Barbara but she won't go to her concerts because it's too expensive "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

It sucked how he got all the blame yet the brothers and the promoters stayed quiet through the whole thing "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

It was out outrageous for that period of time in comparison to going concert ticket prices. That was some Don King mess... there where reports the brothers argued through out the tour about the price gouging, MJ was totally against it. Artist use to make a lot of dough on concert merchandise, it was a lil' "steep" but the ticket prices were reasonable. It was a trade off of sorts. Besides , back in the day more than now, young kids went to concerts 11-16 years of age and they were a significant % of the audience. Who was going to pay for those tickets? Yea dad/mom the tickest is 40/45 bucks, I don't think so. When the Jackson's came to Chi-Town and played Comiskey Park is was full but it wasn't packed. ===== [Edited 4/26/10 15:09pm]

Shit me and you are about the same age. WTF? were you going with your mom to see Bobby Womack in 1972. I can remember concert tickets being $13.50 in the early 80's but never fucking 7 dollars. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

I will never be ashamed of the small fortune I spent to see Babs and her nose. BTW: Them brothers spent 40 million? Damn, I don't care who you are. $40 million invested can last you a freaken lifetime if invested conservatively and a proper budget is followed. I got no respect for the Bros. Jacksons. Space for sale...
