We are the rebels baby Rebels are we We want to be free My baby and me Nevertheless Rebels Are We Yeah, this was their final good jam, after this they embraced the synth/drum machine pattern of the mid-80s and they just screwed it...

I have this on a cd compilation in my truck. Great drumming by Tony Thompson. And what an appropriate anthem for these current times. Actually, that break was rehashed on Chaka Khan's "Never Miss The Water" featuring Me'Shell. Katie Kinisky: "So What Are The Latest Dances, Nell?"
Nell Carter: "Anything The Black Folks did Last Year"

I love this one.
For those who don't know, you should recognize the song because Modjo sampled it for "Lady (Hear Me Tonight)".

I never heard that song. Our local R&B station abandoned Chic after "Stage Fright" and I never heard any other singles by them. It's ironic that,in the early 80s,Chic wasn't getting much airplay anymore but the radio stations were playing alot of songs that borrowed elements of the Chic sound. "Another Bites The Dust" by Queen "On The Beat" by BB&Q Band "Feelin Lucky Lately" by High Fashion "All American Girls" by Sister Sledge "Lover's Holiday" by Change
