No, I didn't see this interview (i'ma watch it now) but I was around him frequently in the 90s and Kevin was intense to say the least and a dog with a bone if he felt insulted. I loved him to death but that shit got on my nerves so I just ignored him when he got in his moods. He was definitely one of them "Is he gonna hug me or choke me" type nuccas. But he had a really sweet side too and hearing that voice growling in my ear . . . That interview was a mess!!!!! Guru was all defensive and shit, jumping on dude's throat. Goddamn!!!!! Sounds like he wrote that letter to me. It's definitely in line with other things that came outta his mouth before he died.

I don't want talk about the past, I want to talk about my new such and such with Solar" (aka his supposed gay lover ). Lord have mercy.

I've seen even the coldest and hardest of hearts, warm and soften when death is a very near certainty. So I can only hope that Guru wouldn't have wanted to leave this world like that because if he did, that's a fucked up way to go! I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

I'm not buying that letter. Some serious manipulation and lying going on. What a sad ending.

Damn! Guru was a frickin' genuis! I will really miss him.
Whoever wrote that letter sounds very angry and bitter. Just the general tone and the sentence "As men of honor we stood tall in the face of small mindedness, greed, and ignorance", can lead one to believe that there was a romantic relationship going on there. I know a lot of people don't want to believe it but it's entirely possible. At any rate, we have truly lost one of the greats in hip-hip. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! It wouldn't even matter if he was gay, but to be so bitter right up to the end...the bitterness probably ate him up worse than the cancer. And such a nasty end to a wonderful legacy... even if he did write it, why release that shit? That could have been kept between lawyers, private. Even Premier's like, why put your boy out there like that and he just passed.... [Edited 4/20/10 15:58pm]

I don't really remember him that much. Some of his music I remember vaguely but i never knew it was him once I saw a couple of his videos. The message you are about to hear are not meant for transmission. Should ONLY be accessed in the privacy of your mind. Words are so intense so if you dare to listen.Take off your clothes and meet me between the lines.

I already established that I don't give a fuck, especially if this Solar Bitch was his gay lover (even though we know that's most likely not true), regardless, Guru was one of the greatest Hip Hop artist ever. He was so young...

Guru: T.I.- I always thought T.I. was lyrical. I like Lil' Wayne. He's got some ill metaphors. I think what it is is that the medias sensationalized Lil' Wayne, but I think Lil' Wayne is a dope artist. So I would listen to Lil' Wayne for the music, not for the hype. Who else, a couple others... I like Jeezy.
that's right Anyway, reading that link Cinnie posted, it seems as though there was some monetary differences as well as artistic differences. Money can drive a wedge between the closest of people.

Someone already posted that link but anyway, I like Guru but I think Wayne, T.I., and Jeezy sucks. There's only one song I like from each of those guys, but other than that, they're lame. Sorry.

Weezy is hit or miss so I totally get it - he's one of those artist where you're either all in or all out. Jeezy...meh....I like his collabs better than his individual work.
