Myspace virus

I get a virus just from logging onto myspace these days. Anyone know what is up with that site?

I've never gotten a virus from logging into the site. I don't know what people are doing or clicking on. I've not had a virus for 10 years on my computer. Not once - and I'm all over the web at times. Myspace doesn't have viruses. People who runs sites keep those things in checks. That's why there are engineers, or administrators on a website. I would wonder if the virus might have been on your computer before your Myspace log in. I'd so rare that you just gain some random virus when logging into any mainstream website.

Are you sure it's a virus, vs. spyware or something?

I have both, yes. I even keep Virex on my Mac. Viruses can still be passed through a Mac to another computer (like emailing a Word document that might be infected - getting it from a PC, then emailing it to another). I'm usually on my PC laptop though.

On some computers, MySpace does have malware in its systems especially from ads. I was scanning my computer for malware and it came from two different places: MySpace and RealPlayer (which I deleted from my comp).

I'm not sure if this is a factor, but I use the AdBlock Plus plugin on Firefox. 99% of the time, I never see an ad on any webpage. When I get on a friend's computer to do something, I'm sometimes kind of surprised at all the ads and pop ups that people have to deal with. The only place I get a pop up at times is those MegaDownload type sites, but even that is rare.

That's probably what I need (AdBlock Plus). I tried using it to see if those YouTube ads would stop showing up but it did. lol But then again I hate going to MySpace anyway. lol

Most of you need to be ashamed of yourselves for using MySpace at all. Didn't you know that Facebook & Twitter killed that site a long time ago?!? lol

Hey I ain't the one on it all the time anymore. lol

I was on there a few months ago but that was because a family friend requested it because she wanted my parents to see her growing-up kids. Needless to say communication problems led me to leave MySpace for good. lol

Myspace took over IMEEM. I sued 2 use IMEEM almost everyday. Facebook and Twitter have nothing 2 do with music.
