This is a great idea!
I hope that Maxwell takes a break before the tour so his vocal chords can rest for awhile. He's been sounding hoarse lately and I guess it's because he's overextended himself. He better watch it, or he'll end up like Mariah Carey.

sorry...not feeling it. i've seen them both in concert, and while their shows translate well in intimate venues, i don't know how well it will work in large venues. they'll sell tons of tickets, i'm sure, but these type of artists (neo-soul/mid tempo) work better in theater type settings. but for those who go--ENJOY!!

He better watch it, or he'll end up like Mariah Carey. You're right. He is so talented and when the voice is on point, it is magic. Lately that has not been the case so I hope takes appropriate care.

I saw Maxwell already at Madison Square Garden and I was very impressed with the stage production. Lots of huge screens with sharp black & white video footage to compliment him on stage. For "...Til The Cops Come Knockin'" two large police lights came out of each side of the floor. It was a great visual.

I'm not feelin' the venue that was chosen for Oakland. The Paramount is much more intimate and fits that style of music than the Oracle Arena. Did anybody check out the VIP prices? For the bay area show, there's a Citibank presale happening right now, and the prices range from $391.75 - $791.75. :thud: If that doesn't include meeting Maxwell and getting married that night, running off to a honeymoon, then ummm...no. Regular tickets are $58.50 - 144.25. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

you know if the Paramount had been chosen, people would've been having sex in the aisles I heard about the effect Maxwell's shows have on couples AND I know how folks in the Bay get down "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I know no one has been on here in a while, but I just saw it...
I have tix for Philly, June 25. (Section C, Row 20 on the floor!!!!) "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"
