Everyone is going to like everything or anything about an artist, but life goes on and so does Janelle's music career. But currently, no one looks crazier than Lady Gaga, with her over-the-top outfits and weirdness. She's known more for that than her singing/music. Janelle used to sing with Outkast for a long time, and wrote songs for their movie "Idlewild". She has a very large following, nice voice, very energetic performer. She'll be around for a long time for sure.

TotalAlisa, Janelle's previous EP and upcoming album are a concept. She's playing the character of an android being hunted for committing the cardinal sin of falling in love and having emotions in this future society. Those masked dudes are obviously the ones who enforce these rules.

Personally, I find her very refreshing! I understand the OutKast comparisons, but I like her a lot more than OutKast.
