This shit just made my week cool But I always hoped that these would be Deluxe Editions like Street Songs....

There might not be enough extra material in the vault to warrant adding a second disc.

I know but you can't blame a girl for hoping

For me RJ's one of those artists that should have an endless well of material from that particular period of his career sigh

Well now theres some hope to get the rest of these remastered, except the Bustin Out cd in the center. A treasure, indeed.

where did you find that 'Bustin Out Of L7' CD? I want it! lol I know that in the mid-90s,there was a limited edition pressing.I wish I had bought it then because it's nearly impossible to find now
mad

I bought it along with the re-issue of Gaye's "Here My Dear" sometime in 1994 or 1995. They will NEVER leave the confines of my house.

That was my experience on one of my orders with them. After one week, I contacted them to see if they had a tracking number. They didn't. However, they issued a credit on my card and shipped me the cd free, so I'm not upset about their customer service at all. I have continued to order from them because they do have such a good policy about shipping.

You know hate it when records re-release albums with a few unreleased bonus songs on there. Id rather for them to release a box set of his unreleased material.

A box set is long overdue. There are even a few unreleased albums that could be included in the box set.

They probably make more money releasing the albums individually vs. releasing a boxed set. Besides, Rick has too much material to be dwindled down into one 4 disc box set. I'd rather have the reissued albums with bonus trax from that era.

This is the type of rare stuff I'd like to see on a box set...

"My Mama" by Rick James (rare 1974 single)

there's also a rare 1976 single "Get Up And Dance"

I wish we could find a list of Rick's outtakes/unreleased songs.I wonder how prolific he was.How many outtakes were left off his albums?

I would expect an album like 'Throwin' Down' to be a 2-CD Deluxe Edition.
