I've heard that Frank was trying to get some of the Funk Mob, but loyalty to George(or contracts) probably prevented it at the time. Frank was never much of a collaborator. he wrote songs and the band reinterpreted them. He definitely had his own vision and Geeoge had his. It would have something sick for sure if they had though! Thomas Dolby DID work with George Clinton(may the cube be with you) i think that's from "aliens ate my buick" I think it's from the "Howard the Duck" soundtrack (definitely not from "Aliens ate my buick"), and Dolby also co-produced 2 songs on Clinton's "Some of my best jokes are friends" in '85.
