Aretha and Condi Rice for 3 shows and more... http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory?id=10152137
Could it be that her long awaited album ARETHA: A WOMAN FALLING OUT OF LOVE, will finally be released in April on her own label, Aretha Records. (It has been 7 years since her last secular release - SO DAMN HAPPY on Arista). She says she wants total control...LOL, truth be told a few majors rejected her royal highness/divaish demands. In this interview I found it sad that she has no interest in recording a soul album per se`. from March 16, 2010 in Hollywood, Florida 'One Night With The King" http://www.youtube.com/wa...x8lfTNj10Q [Edited 3/19/10 17:02pm] Music Royalty in Motion

I was mad the way Arista and LA Reid let that album just fall by the waste side. And, I agree- she should have total control. I don't know why more artists, who have been in the game for 20 and 30 years, won't do the same thing.
