and the relics of rock and roll and soul hit the reunion road for tours - Dinosaur Jams En Vogue has reunited and are touring, as is SWV, and then there are legends like: The Eagles, Toto, Joe Cocker, Paul McCartney, Yes, Peter Frampton, Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, Ringo Starr and his AllStarrs (with Edgar Winter, Rick Derringer, Gary Wright and Richard Page), Crosby, Still and Nash, The New Birth, Rose Royce, Diana Ross, Bell, Biv and DeVoe, Babyface, Aretha Franklin,
The Emotions, and many more..with records not selling, I guess royalties are skimpy and live shows is a way to make money [Edited 3/17/10 17:06pm] Music Royalty in Motion

The key is that touring brings in good money. A lot of the acts you mentioned don't get "Madonna", "Bruce" or "Prince" money when they are touring. Therefore, they have to stay on the grind to make a living.
Also, many of the people you listed didn't write their material, so they don't get songwriting royalties, which is where the BIG bucks are. I would LOVE to see a LaFace tour with Babyface, The Deele, Bobby Brown, TLC, Toni Braxton, Boyz II Men among others. I think it will be a good tour. LaFace was the Motown of the 90s. Not only was it a record company, but a production company. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I think only Leslie & Melvin Wilson were touring as The New Birth a while back. Dinosaurs Jams.
