I forgot to add that They Don't Care About Us was originally written and recorded in '89 during the Dangerous sessions They Don't Care About Us and Earth Song were originally from the Dangerous sessions, Come Together was from 1985 (but remixed), Little Susie was written in 1979..... Damn, I really have done my research! Wasn't come Together featured in Moonwalker? SAME mix.

"Sunset Driver" should have been released though,in some form or another.Perhaps on 'Triumph'? I keep hearing that the mix we have is from a later date, possibly from 1980 or 1981...or even '82 I heard that Sunset Driver was actually an outtake from the Destiny album.

Yeah, but the mix that was used on HIStory had a different effects, not a big remix, but just subtle changes He had recorded back in '85, in the early stages of Bad, but I'm not sure if it was intended for the album "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. I'm really starting to think that particular mix is from 1980-82 The Ultimate Collection's booklet does state it was from 1982...but then again, that booklet has LOADS of typos "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. OK, let's just play this then since you CLAIM it sounds seventies-ish (remember this is from MJ's catalog we're talking about ): Hmm...1980 sounds better than 1978-1979 lol

This sounds more closely to Triumph than Off the Wall.

The fender rhodes playing was a 1980/1981 throwback but MJ's singing and the guitar lick were dead giveaways that the song was in fact an outtake from Bad. Such a KICK ASS gem,,,,,it doesn't sound dated to me at all. I don't get WHY songs like this one and Monkey Business get shelved they're among the LEAST dated songs from MJ's discography. AND Cheater was recorded at his house I've wondered why Monkey Business got shelved. It was supposed to be the lead single for Dangerous but as the album progressed, Black Or White replaced it. Looking back, I can see it being released, but not on Dangerous. It's like every song fits, even Heal The World, which I've hated since I first heard it when I was 5 not to mention, he would work on a song, put it away, and then take it out and work on it again, as was the case for Little Susie (written in '79 while he was writing Heartbreak Hotel and Lovely One, but not released until '95) Earth Song (written in '88 for Dangerous) Dirty Diana (written in '83 for possibly Victory) Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' was for Off The Wall, Liberian Girl was for Victory, Streetwalker was for either Bad or a Broadway play he was writing and then I found out that This Is It and Love Never Felt So Good was planned for a MJ/Paul Anka collaboration album AND he had done an album of classical inspired songs after he did Off The Wall..... "Monkey business" sounds very dated to me LOL. Probably canned it like when he supposedly canned Bubbles' cartoon tv show. Bubbles was getting more attention then he was and Mike was sick of it As for "come together", its telling Quincy did not produce that track, probably meaning it was recorded around 1985/86 before Quincy got properly on board for "bad" (he challenged MJ to write the whole album himself whilst on vacation. Jackson reportedly wrote 66 songs, Quincy not realising MJ took the challenge seriously ). Mike worked on tracks with John Barnes whilst Quincy was away ("alright now" being one I imagine). And so he probably worked with Bill Bottrell on "come together" around that time aswell, particually with the catalogue he had just aquired.

I do question the timeline of when he recorded his version of "Come Together", it could've likely been recorded in either 1985 or 1986.

I've been doing that I think I'm gonna REALLY investigate it when my friends decide if they want to do another revision of For The Record. I'm finding out a lot of info -Unreleased songs like Groove Of Midnight, Men In Black, and other songs are out there being traded by collectors (If I had $5000, I'd be able to get them ) -The Triumph Tour concert at The Forum AND one of the Victory Tour shows were meant for a release (The Victory Tour was going to be released on laserdisc) -Come Together was from 1985 -all this Budweiser Superfest info -the James Whitney sessions -Motown has TWO live recordings in the vaults just waiting for a release -ROGER TROUTMAN ON SMOOTH CRIMINAL - "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. Oh yeah, off topic but "If Only You Knew" and "Love, Need & Want You" was recorded in 1981, not 1979.

And yeah I figure "Come Together" was recorded in '85, there's those '80s drum pedals that were overused in a lot of the songs from this period.

I read Michael blocked an official VHS release of the "victory" tour at the time, against all his other brothers wishes, who had one of the shows recorded professionally. Then later on in the tour, Mike got a tour date profssionally filmed like the brothers had done earlier, suggesting to them to release the VHS LOL. Surprise surpise. this time all the brothers were against it. Karma's a bitch.
So, we know at least 2 were properly filmed, meaning there is still hope for an eventual release of one of those shows LOL. Like when the Jacksons showed clips of it on their reality tv show. They exist
