new solo video from Backstreet Boys' AJ McLean...

No, they're not splitting up. Sorry to disappoint. lol

Solo endeavours from individual members are nothing new. The timing on this one is a little fucked IMO, being as the group itself is in the middle of a world tour, but this kid has never been known for his good timing.

"Teenage Wildlife", lead single off "Have It All"

I'm not sure what I enjoy more. The furry imagery, or the gender free for-all. The kitty stripper is a girl, that zebra is definitely a dude, and that chipmunk could be anything. woot!

You know what though, at least they keep it real, they dont what they do, they dont care about the sales being gone from those insane days, their last record was pretty good too like NKOTB so props to them and Aj for continuing to do music

Honestly, their sales figures only ever dropped in the US. The numbers have held steady in the rest of world. Hence their ability to have a world tour in 2010. Even speaking as a fan, I'm amazed they've managed that.eek

Gotta say though, they're much more fun these days now that they no longer have any competition to worry about then they were ten years ago when they had *N SYNC and others to fight for fans. Ten years ago, a music video featuring furs and gender ambiguity never would have seen light of day.

Very true they steadily have maintained success and a following overseas, and really dont care what goes on here, they do the promoting if it happens here ok if not they have other markets which I AM ALL FOR other markets!!

nod It's pretty good.

So far I've only heard this and one other track off the album, and I dig them.

A live performance of the other track, Sincerely Yours. It has a MUCH different sound than Teenage Wildlife. I'm taking this to mean there's a healthy amount of variety on the disc. nod

Obviously I have no way of measuring it or proving it, but I have a theory that their sustained success has been at least in part due to their inability to actually behave like a boyband. hmmm

The thing is that the overseas market does have more loyality than the US market, especially now, they tend to take alot of acts that we have and we think are gone and you can find them in these markets, I mean im sure most didnt know Howard Jones has a new album and actually never stopped recording since 1983 nonstop, or that Simple Minds are still going etc..you get the point

I am part of the overseas market, so the fact that the Boys are still going strong isn't news to me.

Why the other boybands didn't last when they did, is the question.

Personally, I am kind of disappointed with the album's name.

He'd been threatening to call it "Real Men Wear Dresses". pout

Well, I agree with you but their sales arn't obviously as big in europe as they were LOL. And its true they have lasted longer then any other boyband but I think thats mainly because others in more recent years split up and never wanted to return again. Nsync coulda kept going like BSB but Justin left and that was that LOL.

Take That, a UK boyband who copied NKOTB (as did BSB) went away (again, like Nysnc, at the top), but amazinly came back STRONG about 10 years later, just a few years ago now, and in the UK, they are now HUGE again. Very strange. Yes, they did go away properly for a numer of years, but their new found glory, even if it is only limited to the UK, is quite extraordinary.

NKOTB even cameback somewhat in the US, and I never, ever would of seen that coming. I havn't bought their album because I generally dont dig modern top 40 stuff, but good for them all the same.

As for the song. I like the Sergio Leonne sample LOL. Otherwise its standard pop affair which I wouldn't like no matter who it was. Its not bad though.
