And for all of you much younger orgers that weren't born earlier enough to witness Freestyle at the height of that genre's popularity on FM radio during the late 1980's & early 1990's, here are a few of Sa-Fire's classics:

Let Me Be The One

dancing jig I love THIS track!

Boy I've Been Told

Gonna Make It

Thinking Of You

EDIT: I was also trying to find the video for Don't Break My Heart. But it looks like the YT police were force to take it down again. rolleyes

She has.

What exactly is on the tape though? Is it the demo we've already heard, or is it the alternate version?

It's the cassette copy of the demo version that Michael gave her.

Sa-Fire is great, and she is back on the touring circuit, as are Expose,CoverGirls and Lisa Lisa. A great time of music that never gets its respect

Its funny but i have uncovered alot of "underground" video footage of the Cover girls doing videos from that first album, people tend to forget that was the FIRST indie album to chart 5 singles.

I still have her second album "I wasn't born yesterday" on CD. More up my street as by 1990, freestyle crossed over into pop, which was great for me.

I love "made up my mind" (with George Lamond on adlibs at the end) and I still like "I never heard" aswell. Cool to see her interviewed about it. Either Mj or Paul Anka did not allow her to release the lyrics in the album booklet though. Why I don't know?
