The only thing that bothered me had nothing 2 do with the Stones themselves...

It was annoying 4 me when inbetween songs, they kept cutting 2 this lame blurred still shot of the band in the song b4 it...AAAUUUG!

Live or televised, I wanna see the whole fucking show. Part of the thrill 4 me is 2 see what happening inbetween songs, sets...etc. I wanna see Mick drink his water, Ron light up another cig...etc.

It annoyed me and somewhat ruined what could have been a perfect telecast!

mad

ps. The Stones ROCKED!!! headbang

I know right? Telecast directors etc always gotta come up with some lame-o idea. I know they all got together on it though cause Mick aint havi it..nothihng goes on without his say-so. I think they did that because he didn't want the audience at home to see the in betwen songs preps etc. He wants to keep it like a perfect show where theres always a performance etc. But there were some cool shots of him goin for a geetar, water etc and at the end walkin down the corridor which I find damn near as thrilling as the performances imho.

I've gotta share this with u...

My six year old son and I were watching tv, and a commercial came on 4 Burger King, the song playing in the commercial was a Stone's song (Start Me Up, I think???) and he said...

"Hey Dad, it's the song that those old guys were singing!"

He was thoroughly confused as 2 why I was laughing so much! lol

it didn't take long at all... i just recorded it straight into goldwave, inserted markers where the breaks should be, and had it split the file up... then i burned it onto 2 cds...

however, i might be persuaded to help out those less fortunate... ya never know...

i guess there were some "director's notes" posted over on the HBO site. they said the stills in between songs were supposed to resemble Ronnie Wood's style of painting...

overall, i thought the production could have been better. the Miami PPV from Voodoo Lounge was almost a better production, and that was pretty amateur. too many times the stage lights washed out the shot, and the guys' faces couldn't be seen. some of the cuts were choppy, too. usually the HBO shows are shot and cut pretty well (the last Madonna one comes to mind) but i guess everyone has an off night now and then.

the setlist was a bit different than the show i saw here in Cleveland, so that was nice...we know this will end up on DVD by the summer, so it'll be a nice souvenir of the tour...
