Whitney used to have a great voice. Drugs are a bitch. Unfortunately, she will never sound the same.

k.d. Lang is the best damn singer today IMO. No auto tune shit for her. She KNOWS how to sing.

It's only been in recent DAYS that I've started to realize just how talented k.d. lang is with singing. I grabbed all of her albums to take a good listen and see if I liked them enough to get them physically. (I can recognize someone's talent without needing to buy their records. I'm giving k.d. lang a run.) Annie Lennox is the other voice near the top 3 or 4 female voices in the industry.

I've been a fan of k.d.'s for a long time. I have always liked her music, but she isn't what I would call an exciting artist. She just sings and sounds amazing no matter what genre she is singing. She is underrated because she is not a beauty wearing next to nothing. I'm so glad she sang at the opening ceremonies because it allowed millions of people to hear her beautiful voice.

I think Annie Lennox has a great voice too. Not as perfect as k.d.'s IMHO, but very good nonetheless.

K.D. Lang has one of the purest voices in the business IMO. My two favorite albums of hers: Ingenue and Torch And Twang! biggrin

Oh shit!!! I was reluctant to show this to my husband, a die hard Whitney Houston fan but he was in the room looking over my shoulder as I was checking this thread and asked to see it.

When he said, "Oh hell to the naw, turn that off!!" I nearly fell out my chair!
I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

I just think it's so amazing how her hardcore fans, after all these years, continue to make excuses for her, saying things like "her voice is still healing". How many years is it gonna take for it to heal? There's nothing to heal. It's gone!

OH MY GOD at her singing "Was about to lose my breath-psh" and "oooo-ooooh", she sounded like she did (almost) during "Good Morning America". The girl doesn't have a vocal teacher or nothing? What the fuck?
