Here's mine (with commentary):

Escapade (my favorite moment: "...Minneapolis!" That's priceless)
Love Will Never Do Without You (excellent song, brilliant marketing to release it last, remixed, with stylish Herb Ritz vid. It gave the album a shot of new life well into its shelf life)
Rhythm Nation (Sly sample and all, this one was dope)
Black Cat (Groundbreaking. Kind of a blueprint for Prince's Endorphinmachine, no?)
Miss You Much (this one couldn't miss as the first single. A no-brainer.)
Alright (this one surprised me as a single - not too much of a hook, imo. Love the video, though)
Come Back to Me (Janet ballads...zzzz)

Wow, what a great album. And this is just the singles. Thanks for reminding us all.

Mine would be

Love Will Do Without You - effortlessly funky
Rhythm Nation - reworking Sly to make it your own
Alright - a new jack twist
Miss You Much - dance pop at its finest
Escapade - a song that makes you smile from the first beat
Come Back To Me - airy ballad that hit just right
Black Cat - by this stage the black artist rock song became too much a sure thing.

The Rhythm Nation 1814 project was brilliantly promoted. With the Rhythm Nation long form video that pieced Miss U much & Rhythm Nation together. Plus with the debut following tour. It was just no denying that a new Jackson was a superstar in that time period. That chair sequence at the end of Miss U Much was brilliant. Every song on that Cd was hot hot hot.....U right about the late Herb Ritz video "Love Will Never Do". It did give the album a shot of new life. Plus debut a more sexually revealing Janet to cum... That album remains my all time fav Janet project period.....

Rhythm Nation - an unforgettable "event" video, that took her to the proverbial next level

Miss You Much - great lead single

Alright - FON.KAY!! video set it off

Love Will Never Do - great transitional song and video, it unleashed "sexy" janet (she needs to find this subtlety again)

Black Cat - a prototype for her later rock foray, ensured she couldn't be pigeonholed into one style

Escapade - a perfect pop song that had immediate buzz and long legs

Come Back to Me - weakest ballad on the album IMO, but the most "radio friendly" perhaps

Escapade <---one of THE most perfect dance-pop songs ever!
Rhythm Nation
Black Cat
Love Will Never Do Without You
Miss You Much
Alright
Come Back To Me

Just so everyone knows, I feel that Someday Is Tonight is a very underrated slow jam and even stronger than Come Back To Me to be dead honest.

Really? I think Come Back is the strongest ballad on the album. Jam and Lewis gave it that New Edition - "If It Isnt Love" / Alexander O'Neal "Sunshine" vibe and melodic production, which I love.

Rhythm Nation- So bold and amazing
Miss You Much - Amazing song! Love the story behind it lol and another iconic video- the chair routine is imitated by many.
Love Will Never Do Without You- Amazing vocals.
Black Cat- So iconic. Everyone (around me) at the time were surprised that a black female could do rock.
Escapade - Fun and good pop music.
Come Back To Me- Amazing vocals.
Alright- So funky!!!

My 3rd favorite album ever!

Here is the order of the mega-singles:

Black Cat
Miss You Much
Rhythm Nation
Alright
Love Will Never Do (Without You)
Come Back to Me
Escapade

If we can count State of the World, that would top my list.
