I wanted her to do single ladies.
I bet there are a lot of them in Haiti right now and she could've represented.

Knowing her, she would've retitled the song "Single Haitians" for that occasion bored2 and you know she can't pass a promotion.

Well, you could look at the walls she is singing about, as walls of oppression and suffering...if you wanna put a positive spin on it.

I would love this, I think she sang this beautifully, but I just hate this song.

And is it me or is she wearing a Michael Jackson jacket?

I don't think the song was inappropriate, I'm just tired of looking at the bitch.

That one line doesn't make it in appropriate, but she doesn't really have a song appropriate for something like this. Most folks did a cover, some did originals. Maybe she should have sang "Strays of the World".

And them Lady Gaga bangs are not working.

She could have sang something like Stevie's/Syreeta's (she so sang the hell out of it that she shoulda had a writing credit) Blame It On The Sun. People are conditioned to get some kinda weird ass personal shine from any and all occasions and conditions anymore. A little bit of Speidi look-at-me in so much of what passes for entertainment.

Exactly, so why didn't she sing a tribute song instead of putting herself into this predicament?

The whole..

Remember those walls I built
Well, baby they're tumbling down
And they didn't even put up a fight
They didn't even make up a sound

Opening could've re-worked to fit this occasion but nooooo, any form of self-promotion is crucial with this chick lol

The use of 'Haiti' was a bit corny to tell you the truth.

It would be like Sheryl Crow and co singing 'Haiti, lean on me when you're not strong...'

or Justin singing 'Haiti-lleluiah'

Maybe Beyonce thought it was the challenge of the evening to try an mention 'Haiti' in the performance.

Just out of curiousity is it etiquette to perform someone else's song at an event like this?

See, this is what happens when you have no songs of substance in your repertoire.
Hopefully, she will find it in herself to realize this and demand more but most likely if she did, the label would just buy her something new and pretty and pat her on the head and say "don't worry about it."

no no no! I donated and plan on donating some more. That buys me at least two posts for talkin' bout Bey's weave. lol
