Stevie Wonder May Perform At Glastonbury Fest February 4, 2010 Singer-songwriter Stevie Wonder is in talks to headline a night of this June's Glastonbury Festival in England, festival organizers said. Wonder, an iconic R&B, soul and pop music star in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, has continued to perform and record in recent years. He also has made some high-profile appearances lately, singing at Michael Jackson's public memorial and performing at the recent Hope for Haiti Now telethon. Glastonbury head Michael Eavis told the BBC a deal with Wonder has not been finalized yet, but he added the recording artist will be the "probable" headliner for the music festival's Sunday night lineup. U2 has been confirmed to star in Friday night's gig and the rock band Muse is in negotiations to be the top act for the Saturday show's bill, the British broadcaster said. The festival is slated to take place June 25-27. http://www.upi.com/Entert...265230843/ | |
