They were more known for their retarded singer than for their music. The album Wonderwall was on was somewhat bigger than the other albums due to it's inclusion, but that's about it. >>

Deadsy - She Likes Big Words (1999) Faith And The Muse - Denn Die Todten Reiten Schnell (1999) Massive Attack - Teardrop (1998) Lush - Superblast! (1992) Suddenly, Tammy! - Plant Me (1993) My Bloody Valentine - Honey Power (1991) Spacehog - In The Meantime (1995) My Bloody Valentine - Only Shallow (1991) Janet Jackson - Special (1997) I love your earlier music tips, so I am curious after most of these artists, some of whom I never heard. My list is heavy on goth and shoegaze with some synthpop thrown in at the end of the decade. That's what the 90s were to me. Looking at everyone else's songs, I realized I probably could have included a few more Prince tracks if I had thought of them like for example "The Love We Make" or NPG's "Come On". I remember really liking those. I also overlooked a lot of R&B and hip hop because the individual songs are not strong in my mind even though I have some albums in those genres. Again, the decade was all about going out to goth clubs so the songs that got played there are the ones I remember best.

Awww, that's sooo 1987 to me. We used to frequent a few, one was THE official goth discotheque called Korsakoff and the other did not have a name, cuz it was an underground one (it moved every two months or so) but we called it Nijntje (Miffy). Gawd, we RAWKED those places. Esp Korsakoff was fun cuz we liked to dress up flamboyantly and go wild before we went wilder at The Roxy or IT. Awww, now I'm nostalgic. >>

In 1987 I was away at University in Pittsburgh. No goth scene there. God, if I were to post links to some of the goth songs on my list, you guys would die laughing listening to them.

I honestly believe some of those goth songs are more embarrassing than the Spice Girls. Here's a good/bad one that was guaranteed to pack the dancefloor back in its day (#123 on my list): Awful! But I love it.

Bauhaus, The Nephilim, Alien Sex Fiend, Specimen, those are classic bands there. The 90s were when the genre became extremely derivative and a parody of itself. Shame.

133. My Bloody Valentine - Loveless I meant to say earlier, I don't know of any MBV song called "Loveless". Are you getting the album title mixed up with one its tracks? Or is this some super rare outtake I haven't heard?
