Beyonce to Star in Super Bowl Commercial
Beyonce won't perform during half-time at Super Bowl XLIV, but she will still make a special appearance by starring in her first game time commercial. The singer has signed on as a spokesperson for the hi-definition television brand, Vizio, and she will appear in a new one-minute commercial during the game to promote their current products. From the set of the new commercial, Beyonce told ET that she felt a bit nervous about her Super Bowl debut. "It's an honor for me to know that I'm going to be a part of the great commercials in 2010," she said. "It's a little bit of pressure because they have genius commercials, so we have to make sure our commercial is really cool because all the guys will be watching." While it's too early to predict whether or not Beyonce's Vizio slot will be a contender for the top Super Bowl commercial, she can rest assured that she's in good hands. The million dollar commercial was directed by three-time Oscar nominee, Wally Pfister, who worked on the recent Batman installations 'The Dark Knight' and 'Batman Begins.' Beyonce's Vizio commercial will air during the fourth quarter of Super Bowl XLIV on Feb. 7. Check out ET's behind the scenes coverage of Beyonce on set. LOVE ♪♫♪♫ ♣¤═══¤۩۞۩ஜ۩ஜ۩۞۩¤═══¤♣

You all are such a tough crowd!! You need to give credit where credit is DUE! Beyonce always gives legendary tributes, totally forgetting herself! I remember when she was Destiny's Child and she and the two back up singers sang "Say My Name" in honor of the victims of 9/11 for tribute show! It was such a powerful and thoughtful performance, perfectly crafted for the event. The names of the victims scrolled down on a screen as they sang "Say my name, say my name!" So there! Beyonce has a long history of giving proper tributes and not cross-promotion--you all need to recognize! "Be glad for what you had baby, what you've got..."

I like the song "Halo." I love it actually. Great song. But Beyonce needs someone like Rod Temperton now. Like, seriously. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

that isn't promotion singing her OWN record at a tribute concert that isn't even about that?

that isn't promotion singing her OWN record at a tribute concert that isn't even about that? On 9/11, the first song that Sting sang was, "Fragile". Now, that song had come out years earlier, but it was still his song and nobody says anything about that. He could have done another song, but he choose that one because HE felt that it was appropriate. I think some on this board will pick on someone just to pick on someone. It's a shame. What made me cringe wasn't the self-promotions(if we're honest, ALL of those performers regardless of what they sing, are self-promoting themselves,,,even if its a charity and even if they don't have an agenda). Its those words.. Remember those walls I built Well, baby they're tumbling down And they didn't even put up a fight They didn't even make up a sound I really don't care if they're metaphors, giving the situation she's in, a lil' respect to the audience she's singing to would've made her go back and re-work them. [Edited 2/3/10 5:14am] I really don't see anything wrong with those lyrics; Why? Because, Haiti's walls of suffering and heartache HAVE started to come down. I look at what has happened in that country as a chance to rebuild. They have been hurting for such a long time without people even offering any assistance. Maybe what has happened will bring them the help and much needed attention that they deserve. Some are get too hung up on what people say and how people will receive it. That takes too much energy.
